LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Typical summer heat and storms will be back Friday before rain chances lower a little bit for the weekend.

We’ll be back to the low/mid 90’s for highs Thursday with another chance for isolated-to-scattered storms. Not everyone will get rain, but keep an eye on the sky in the late-morning and afternoon as some storms may begin to pop-up.

Rain chances will lower a touch heading into the weekend to a more isolated coverage of storms both Saturday and Sunday. This means even warmer weather is ahead as more locations may see mid 90’s for highs. For those with outdoor plans, you’ll be able to get outside and do them, just make sure to keep a watch to the sky in case a storm moves over your location.
