A former New Hampshire police officer is facing new accusations of allegedly receiving child pornography, according to federal prosecutors, while on bail for similar charges filed earlier this year.
John Giarrusso, a former Seabrook police officer, was arrested Thursday and charged federally with one count of receipt of child pornography, U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts Leah Foley announced.
Giarrusso, of Haverhill, was indicted on possession of child pornography and distribution of graphic sexual images to a minor in Essex Superior Court in June. He pleaded not guilty to all state charges and was released on bail in July, according to court records.
Seabrook police initially put Giarrusso, 49, on paid administrative leave after he was arrested by Haverhill police in March , the dep
