DELCAMBRE, La. (KLFY) -- Law enforcement is enforcing the "We Will Act" to regulate drone use over the Delcambre Shrimp Festival grounds, prioritizing public safety.
Sheriff Eddie Langlinais of Vermilion Parish has outlined specific drone regulations for the festival, emphasizing that these measures are in place to ensure the safety of attendees.
"We have exercised due diligence in verifying that the steps we are taking are proper and legal in light of our public safety responsibilities," Langlinais said.
The Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office is not seeking a Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) to permanently establish a no-fly zone, but rather aims to manage drone operations during the festival.
