Tulane quarterback Brendan Sullivan exhibited his unique brand of toughness again in Thursday morning’s practice at the Saints indoor practice facility.
The question is whether that toughness will end up sidelining him this time.
Running a keeper in a live goal-line drill, he came up limping on his right leg after taking on three defenders, losing the battle and falling down awkwardly. Instead of heading to the sideline to get checked out, he stayed in and raced around the left side for a touchdown on the next snap.
A minute later, he limped off the field and sat dejectedly on a bench in apparently significant discomfort before heading back to campus early for a X-ray.
