Travellers were racing the cancellation clock at Calgary International Airport on Thursday, as Canada’s largest airline began suspending flights ahead of a potential strike .
Some said that even if they managed to fly out of Calgary, getting home amid a possible strike by Air Canada flight attendants could mean a delayed return home.

“It hasn’t been cancelled yet, but we’ll see if we can get back on Monday on another airline (if there’s a strike-lockout),” said Sarah Todoschuk, who was waiting to board a flight to Toronto.
“It would be great if we can get back . . . you hope for the best.”
