Two Hours of Freedom in Louisiana
A 42-year-old woman was arrested just two hours after she was released from a Louisiana detention center for allegedly stealing a vehicle and attempting to take an unmarked unit.
Officials with the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office (LPSO) responded to reports of a “suspicious female” walking in the middle of a highway on Monday. The woman, identified as Lisa Cleaver, was seen exiting a Livingston Department of Public Works (DPW) truck and asking for a ride, Sheriff Jason Ard said in a statement shared on Facebook.
Cleaver was then picked up by a driver. Deputies were quickly able to locate the woman at a nearby grocery store where she was then taken into custody.
“Inside that DPW truck, deputies would find her Livingston Parish Detention Center (LPD
