HOWLAND, Ohio (WKBN) -- Ray Constance has spent time cutting hair and giving free life advice since 1964, when he began his career as a professional barber.

"I like my job, you know, I do love it here, and the people are great. I know everybody by their first name, and hundreds of people that I've had over the years, you know," Constance said.

Though he started cutting hair at a small barbershop in Struthers, Constance opened Ed & Ray's Barbershop in Howland after spending time in the United States Army.

"I've been standing for 60 years, you know, things change. All my doctors always been after me saying, 'You got to get off your feet a little bit,'" Constance said.

Although he has moved a few times since he began cutting hair, some of his customers have followed him wherever he goes.
