ABINGDON, Va. — A Northeast Tennessee man was arrested Aug. 13 after authorities say he came to Washington County Virginia expecting to meet a juvenile for sex.
Richard M. Holtzclaw, 51, of Mount Carmel, Tenn., traveled to Virginia believing he would meet a juvenile and take them to Tennessee for sexual acts, according to a written statement
Instead, he was taken into custody without incident by the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies discovered he was in possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and was wanted in Hawkins County Tennessee.
Holtzclaw has been charged with 40 counts of taking indecent liberties with children; one count of attempted abduction and kidnapping; two counts of possession, reproduction, distribution, solicitation, and facilitation of child porno
