The Detroit Tigers have recalled left-hander Bailey Horn from Triple-A Toledo to add a third southpaw to their bullpen for their series this weekend at Minnesota.

Right-hander Sawyer Gipson-Long was optioned to Triple-A Toledo in a corresponding move.

Gipson-Long was reinstated from the injured list before Wednesday’s game in Chicago and threw two scoreless innings in relief in the Tigers’ 1-0 win over the White Sox.

Horn, 27, is in his third stint with the Tigers this season. He’s appeared in only three MLB games, but has pitched well for the Mud Hens. He has a 3.06 ERA in 35 innings with 18 walks and 44 strikeouts.

The Tigers claimed Horn off waivers from the Boston Red Sox last November, but DFA’d him a month later when they signed second baseman Gleyber Torres . They reacquired
