Assistant general manager Andy Weidl and his Steelers scouting staff will soon be hitting the road for college football season. They’ll get to know every draft-eligible player in the 2026 draft class, but many of their stops will be at places like Texas, Penn State, Clemson, South Carolina, LSU and Arizona State.

You guessed it — that’s where some of the best quarterbacks are playing this season.

The 2026 quarterback class is being projected as one of the best classes in recent history. As many as five or six could go in the first round.
