SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - At the Missouri governor’s annual ham breakfast, the meat and grits were not the only things heating up. So are the talks of redrawing Missouri’s congressional districts to make the Kansas City-area district lean more Republican.
Sedalia, Missouri, was abuzz Thursday with lawmakers as they gathered for the political event of Missouri State Fair season, the governor’s ham breakfast. Ultimately, the decision is up to Gov. Mike Kehoe, but he said Thursday there are no set plans to call a special session.
“It’s not a new conversation since the maps were approved four or five years ago. There’s always been some angst about how, especially CD 3 and some others, were not compact and not drawn properly,” Gov. Kehoe said. “So, we’re looking at it, but we have no firm anno
