A man has been arrested in Alabama and charged in connection with a shooting that killed one person in North Kansas City on Monday, according to law enforcement officials.

Ray Von McCall, 37, has been charged with second-degree homicide, armed criminal action and shooting a firearm at or from a motor vehicle causing injury or death. He has been in custody in Mobile, Alabama, since Tuesday, according to Cher Congour, spokesperson for the Clay County Prosecutor’s Office.

North Kansas City police officers responded to the area of Armour Road and Missouri Route 210 around 3 p.m. Monday after receiving “multiple 911 calls” reporting a shooting and car wreck, said Kim Nakahodo, deputy city administrator for North Kansas City.
