LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - Lufkin Police detectives are investigating a shooting death Thursday night.

According to police, a Lufkin man was shot at around 4:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of South First Street.

A suspect is in custody, and officers do not believe there is anyone else involved.

Details of what occurred have not been determined as of this time, and the names of the suspect and the victim will not be released until tomorrow when they complete their investigation, the police department said.
