BANGOR -- A Maine U.S. Senate candidate made a stop in Bangor today for his town hall tour.
Democrat Jordan Wood is running against Susan Collins in the 2026 election, and held a community conversation at the Bangor Public Library to give locals a chance to meet him.
Wood answered questions from the community about local issues. He says it's a way to meet with his potential future constituency and increase trust in elected officials.
"I think this is a fundamental part of how democracy works, is that representatives in Congress are regularly hearing the concerns, the hopes, the fears of the people that they're serving in Congress," explained Wood.
