It's been nearly one year since a New Jersey man was killed in a shootout with Pemberton Township police and now, the state's Attorney General's Office is releasing new video in the name of transparency.

The newly released body camera video from the New Jersey Attorney General's Office captures the moments before and after police shot a man on Oct. 19, 2024 in Burlington County .

It all began with a 911 call about a house fire, but what unfolded next turned into a tense and chaotic scene for the quick block of Pemberton Township.

At around 3:30 p.m. that day, firefighters responded to a fire at a home on Woodland Road and when they got there, police said they found a man with a rifle.
