CLEVELAND (WJW) - A community activist who was just recently acquitted on all charges spoke out during a news conference on Thursday -- the one-year anniversary of what he called his wrongful arrest.
Antoine Tolbert, a 34-year-old Solon man, was previously indicted back in March on several charges, including extortion and aggravated riot, according to court records.
On Monday, Tolbert and two of his associates were found not guilty on all counts.
Tolbert is part of the organization "New Era Cleveland," which focuses on reducing crime in the city.
He was accused of shaking down a gas station at Lee and Harvard, demanding money to provide protection and preventing people from leaving.
