The Detroit Tigers beat the Minnesota Twins, 4-3, in 11 innings in the series opener on Thursday.

Tarik Skubal allowed three runs in the third inning, but threw four scoreless after that for the Tigers.

Riley Greene opened the scoring for Detroit with a two-run homer in the fourth inning.

MINNEAPOLIS — Detroit Tigers left-hander Tarik Skubal shouted the same expletive twice in the fourth inning: first after allowing a single to Edouard Julien with two outs and second after striking out Austin Martin for the third out.

Both were F-bombs.

He wasn't happy with his performance.
