A walk to honour a Middlesbrough Football Club legend is set to take place next month. Middlesbrough Football Club and MFC Foundation has announced The Alan Peacock Walk, a tribute to one of Teesside’s most cherished footballers and community champions.
The former Middlesbrough and Leeds United player died at the age of 87 after a battle with dementia. The walk will take place on Sunday, September 14, beginning at 10am from the iconic Ayresome Park gates and finishing with a commemorative lap of honour around the Riverside Stadium pitch.
The event will raise vital funds for MFC Foundation and Dementia Action Teesside, while also offering the community a chance to walk in memory of loved ones. The inclusive, family-friendly walk is open to all, and the route is flat, wheelchair access
