CLARKSVILLE, Ind. —

With more than 80% of funding secured for the 430-acre Origin Park in Clarksville, we are getting a closer look at some of the features planned for the space.

Origin Park is revitalizing a space that was once brownfield sites, junkyards, and industrial areas.

River Heritage Conservancy, which is behind the development of the park, has shared a couple of features planned for the park.

One of those is an Olympic-level whitewater course. It will feature two channels, one for competition use that is 1,700 feet and another 2,500-foot channel for whitewater rafting.

This feature of the park is expected to serve as a key piece of the park, with officials saying it will be unlike anything in the Midwest.
