OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The next verse of a very familiar song is playing out this week in a south Omaha neighborhood. Part of a dirt road caved in last night.
After a series of short-term fixes, homeowners want something that will last. The road to that goal could get bumpy.
Tammy Francis moved to the neighborhood by 52nd and U Streets two years ago. She likes it, but there’s one big problem.
A storm on Wednesday night left a pit in the road.
“It was at least 4 or 5 feet down,” Francis said. “I mean, it was deep.”
It’s not the first time.
“Is it gonna take for someone to actually... fall into the hole and get hurt before something actually happens with this road?” Francis said.
