SEATTLE — Documents obtained by KING 5 show the full list of Seattle officers who were known to be in Washington, D.C., for the Jan. 6 riot and that two of them described the scene as peaceful to investigators.
During interviews with Seattle's Office of Police Accountability (OPA), former officers Alexander Everett and Caitlin Rochelle, a married couple, told investigators they didn't see anything out of place.
"It was completely open ... no police barricades, no police tape, no police officers," Everett said. "There were hundreds of thousands of people walking. I simply walked in the grass."
Rochelle told investigators they were unaware of any illegal activity.
"All that I saw was just peaceful people standing around the lawn, standing around the building. I saw no laws being broken
