As a hotbed for girls soccer talent, it comes as no surprise that plenty of talent grown out of Macomb and Oakland Counties remain playing big roles beyond their prep careers.

The state as a whole continues to export talented players, as evidenced by Top Drawer Soccer’s recently released Top 100 preseason rankings of women’s college players, which lists seven players from Michigan.

Here’s a look at several of the players on that list, as well as a few others who are thriving beyond their high school years.

D Hailey Baumann, Wisconsin (Wixom St. Catherine)

Some fans might remember Baumann more for her exploits on hardwood than on grass. A Division 2 All-State honoree for the Stars, she was a two-time ECNL first-team All-Conference Midwest selection for the Michigan Hawks.
