A single crash resulted in two arrests for driving while intoxicated after a drunk passenger later tried to give the driver a ride home from the police station, police in Gloucester County said.
Officers responded to the crash at the intersection of Route 42 and Berlin Cross Keys Road in Washington Township around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday.
A 56-year-old Turnersville man was arrested at the scene for driving while intoxicated and his vehicle was impounded, according to police.
His blood alcohol concentration was measured at 0.11%, above the legal limit of 0.08%, police said.
An officer gave his passenger, a 47-year-old Cinnaminson woman, a ride home from the scene because she was also intoxicated, police said. She was told someone else would need to pick up the driver from police headquarte
