Three semi trucks and one enclosed trailer caught fire late Thursday morning near East 16th Street and Ash Avenue in east Greeley.

The Greeley Fire Department received the call at 11:18 a.m. and had the blaze out within five minutes of arriving on scene, firefighters said. No one was injured.

The northbound lane of Ash Avenue was closed for roughly an hour surrounding the blaze.

“On days like today where temperatures exceeded 100 degrees before noon, practicing fire safety is always important to ensure blazes don’t easily get out of hand,” the department wrote in a social media post. “In addition to ensuring your safety in the heat, limiting open-burning and spark-producing activity can help keep our community safe on days with high fire danger.”
