Heat and fire risk continue to decrease Thursday through the weekend as the weak trough pulls cool air across the region to keep temps slightly below average heading into next week. The weak trough could also produce some showers Friday and Saturday with over a tenth of an inch of rain likely in the lowlands! We need a lot more rain than what is expected through Saturday night, but the forecast could change to include heavier amounts as the weekend comes closer. Temps stay slightly below average in the mid to upper 80s through the beginning of next week with partly cloudy skies.
