Jack Mellor is running 100k on Friday from Berwick upon Tweed to Westwood’s Health Club to raise money for Maggie’s Edinburgh.

He is completely self-supported with some checkpoint stops and a film crew documenting the journey. The idea for the run came from wanting to use a personal endurance test to help others and Maggie’s was the natural choice. He works at Westwoods where he has seen for himself the impact Maggie’s has had on members and their families.

Jack said: “This run will probably be the toughest thing I’ve ever put myself through — physically, and especially mentally. But I get to choose that challenge. The people Maggie’s supports don’t have that choice. That’s what will keep me going. If I can use this to raise money and awareness for those going through much harder battles
