ROBBINS, Ill. (WLS) -- A man was killed in a shooting in south suburban Robbins early Friday morning, a spokesperson told ABC7.

Robbins police responded to a call about shots fired near Clair Boulevard and Maxey Court just before 4 a.m.

Officers found a man who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds, the spokesperson said. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Chopper 7 was over the scene, where law enforcement officials set up a tent surrounded by evidence markers in the residential neighborhood.

Neighbors gathered around the scene, and one told ABC7 that the victim is a man in his 20s who was shot while walking in the 3700-block of Clair Boulevard.
