A man who owns a grocery store in Camden, New Jersey, has been arrested after police said he allegedly distributed narcotics out of his business.

According to Camden County Police, on Aug. 13, 2025, police arrested Jose R. Nunez, 41, the owner of Duran Grocery, which is located at Broadway and Chestnut Street.

Police said Nunez was charged with six different counts:

- Two counts in the 2 nd degree of distribution of prescription medication

- One count in the 3 rd degree of distribution of prescription medication.

- Three counts in the 4 th degree of possession of prescription medication

After Nunez's arrest, police said the city's Code Enforcement Department suspended the business operation
