Budget airline Ryanair has announced a new service from Birmingham Airport to Lapland.

The twice weekly service will commence at the end of October, operating on Mondays and Saturdays.

Al Titterington, terminal operations director at Birmingham Airport, said: "We’re delighted that Ryanair is expanding its presence at Birmingham Airport this winter with an all-new route to Lapland-Rovaniemi which accompanies our existing services.

"Lapland is always a popular pick for the winter season and this new service will provide even more of our customers with the chance to create some unforgettable memories this Christmas."

The Irish airline's director of communications Jade Kirwan said: "Christmas has come early for our UK customers with the launch of our winter 2025/26 Lapland schedule.
