Two people from Mexico were arrested after officials say drugs were found during a traffic stop.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office said they arrested Samuel Rios Maldonado and Esther Vargas, both of Mexico following a traffic stop along State Route 800 near Malaga.
According to officials, during the traffic stop K-9 Max alerted deputies to the presence of narcotic odor emitting from the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of approximately 6 grams of suspected cocaine and 15 grams of suspected methamphetamine, officials say.
The Sheriff's Office said both people are being held at the Monroe County Jail (2) counts of Possession of Drugs.
