MOOSIC, Pa. (KTRE) - Former Central Heights Blue Devil Duke Ellis had a hit and drove in two runs in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre’s 9-6 loss to the Indianapolis Indians on Thursday.
Ellis got the start in center field and batted ninth.
Ellis went 1-for-4 with two RBI. In the second inning, Ellis grounded into a force out at second base to drive in Braden Shewmake and put the RailRiders up 3-1. In the fourth, Ellis doubled into right field to bring in Shewmake and put Scranton up 4-3. Ellis raised his batting average to .370.
The RailRiders and Indians continue their series on Friday night.
