Thomas Gonzales, the new Ector County ISD Fine Arts Coordinator, is not one to do things by half. With multiple degrees and a variety of experience, he is aiming to make a meaningful and lasting impression that will positively enhance student experiences.
Gonzales has direct supervision of elementary programs with shared oversight of secondary programs including the JROTC.
An Army veteran who left the service as a staff sergeant, Gonzales earned a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies, which was business administration, pre-law and music, from Liberty University. His master’s was in sacred music and a doctorate in arts administration, also from Liberty.
He also earned a master’s of music education from Texas Tech and a master’s in secondary education from Stephen F. Austin Univ
