The president can’t have us thinking about approval ratings lower than some of the homeless he wants to roust. Doesn’t want us dwelling on news that the new statistician-in-chief’s first priority is to hide statistics , or that officials at Ghislaine Maxwell’s mostly fenceless prison won’t let her play with the onsite puppies . Because puppies will trust anyone.

The ostensible reason for rolling in the National Guard is high crime. Almost true. Violent crime in Washington D.C. is at a 30-year low . There are exceptions. Crime at 1600 Pennsylvania is at a 250-year high.
