PINE BLUFF, Ark. – A Pine Bluff food pantry will be hosting a free Labor Day event for its community.
The First Ward Living Grace Pantry (FWLGP) will hold its city-wide Labor Day celebration from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29 at 1201 Commerce Road.
The event will bring music, food, activities and resources for the community. The Grassroots Revival Real Clean Team from Benton will also provide a mobile unit offering hot showers for those who may be homeless or struggling.
“We want to give people the opportunity to see themselves from a new perspective. It’s funny what a little love — and a hot shower — can do for someone’s morale,” FWLGP executive director Debra Allen said.
The event was put together with support from the City of Pine Bluff, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Pine Bluf
