Lawyers call Local 4 consumer reporter a victim of a TV station report that cited unidentified sources.

"The allegations made against me were outrageous, unfounded and defamatory," Winchester said in a statement.

Attorneys for WDIV-TV’s Hank Winchester announced Aug. 15 that the law enforcement investigation into the Local 4 consumer reporter has ended with no criminal findings and no warrants will be issued.

“Hank Winchester has been exonerated and cleared,” said attorney Neil Rockind, describing Winchester as “the victim of baseless and unfounded allegations.”

Rockind and attorney Todd Flood held a news conference Friday in downtown Detroit to share what Flood called “the great news.”
