8 ON YOUR SIDE: If you want to protect yourself against the flu this season, you can get a mist vaccine delivered to your home in Alabama.

FluMist — which is the only nasal spray flu vaccine approved by the government — is now available for you to have delivered to your home for you to use.

A new delivery service called “FluMist Home” is legal in 34 states, including Alabama.

FluMist was approved in 2003, but you still had to go to a health care provider to get it, until now.

Most insurance plans will pay for the spray — but it costs $8.99 to get it delivered.
