David Martindale has committed himself to Livingston until the summer of 2027 after signing a new deal and there is an option of a third year should both parties wish to continue.

Martindale (pictured in the club’s media room by Nigel Duncan ) originally joined the West Lothian-based club, who play at the Home of the Set Fare Arena, as a volunteer in 2014 and this season marks his sixth year at the helm.

He is now understood to be the longest serving manager in the William Hill Premiership.

The manager said: “During the previous seasons it had for us all to focus us all at the club and I will remain forever grateful to Dave Black, John Ward and John McIlvogue for allowing me the opportunity to try and take the club back to the Premiership.
