Atlantic City International Airport announced Wednesday that Allegiant Air will begin serving the airport later this year with flights to Florida.
Spirit Airlines is currently the lone carrier at the airport in Egg Harbor Township. Spirit began flights out of Atlantic City in June 1992 and connects the airport to destinations in Florida and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
American Airlines also operates out of the airport through a shuttle service that transports passengers to Philadelphia once they check in at the local airport and clear security.
