Kyle Schwarber has been one of the best hitters in baseball this season, and he's only getting better as the year goes on. The Philadelphia Phillies superstar is set to hit free agency at the end of the year, and there's a chance he's earned himself a record-breaking deal in the designated hitter world.

Jim Bowden of The Athletic recently suggested the Phillies will make every effort to re-sign Schwarber at the end of the season.

"Schwarber is putting together what could be his best year at the ideal time. It looks like he will set career highs in home runs and RBIs," Bowden wrote.
