Bundle up, and prepare your strongest shovels: a “cold, snow-filled” winter awaits New England and the Northeast United States, according to the latest edition of Farmers’ Almanac .
The publication, which makes seasonal weather predictions based on “correlations between celestial events, and various meteorological conditions,” recently shared a national forecast for the winter 2025/2026 season , which begins Sunday, Dec. 21.
The report foresees “frequent snowstorms” in New England, and states that “the season’s coldest temperatures will be found from the Northern Plains to New England.”
