Sir Michael Caine’s beloved former home he bought with his earnings from a Jaws movie he branded “terrible” is for sale for £10 million.
The Hollywood star lived in the sprawling Rectory Farm House on the banks of the River Thames in Wallington, Oxon., for 15 years.
The Grade II listed property was extensively renovated by the actor and his wife Shakira, who built a movie room and home spa.
Caine, now 92, once revealed he paid for the building work with the money he earned from "Jaws: The Revenge" .
He said: “I have never seen Jaws 4, but by all accounts it was terrible.
“However, I have seen the house that it built and it is terrific.”
The movie, which flopped at the box office, was released in 1987 while Caine was living in the Rectory Farm House.
