The shelter said that it has dogs in need of a home, particularly large and senior dogs.

Pets are only considered for euthanasia when they are highly susceptible to illness, sick or injured, suffering from stress due to the kennel environment, displaying aggressive behavior, other placement options are exhausted and there is an immediate need for space, according to the shelter.
