PEORIA, Ill. (25 News) – Ameren is offering help to some customers who need help paying their power bills.

Company leaders announced Friday the utility will donate $4 million for bill payment assistance for customers in Illinois and Missouri.

The money will go to agencies that specialize in energy assistance for customers who qualify for the help.

“We understand the economic hardships families living in our communities are facing each day,” Joe Solari, Ameren Vice President for Customer Service, said. “We want customers to know additional help will soon be available from Ameren through our community partners.”
