Sam Darnold led a touchdown drive on his lone series, helping the host Seattle Seahawks roll to a 33-16 win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday.
Darnold, the Seahawks’ new No. 1 quarterback, made his preseason debut after sitting out last week against the Las Vegas Raiders. He completed all four of his passes for 34 yards during a 10-play, 81-yard march.
Drew Lock followed Darnold at QB for the hosts and went 10 of 12 for 129 yards and two touchdown passes to Jake Bobo. Dareke Young led the Seahawks (1-0-1) with three receptions for 52 yards, and Damien Martinez gained 50 yards on 11 carries.
