UTICA, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) -- The morning commute for some Utica residents may get a bit longer next week, as city road crews begin paving operations.
According to a release by Mayor Mike Galime on Friday, August 15, the City of Utica's Engineering Department will begin paving operations in East Utica on Monday, August 18. Galime said that these operations are part of the city's ongoing infrastructure improvement efforts.
In preparation for the operations, city crews will begin installing temporary No Parking signs along several Utica streets beginning on Sunday, August 17. Residents and visitors are strongly encouraged to observe and comply with all posted signage. Failure to comply with signage may result in the offending vehicle being towed.
