CHICAGO (WLS) -- No one was injured in Chicago police shooting Friday afternoon on the city's South Side, officials said.
The shooting took place near East 71st Street and South Chappel Avenue in the South Shore neighborhood, the Civilian Office of Police Accountability said on X at 2:40 p.m.

Chicago fire officials said no one was injured.
It's not immediately clear what led up to the police shooting or what took place.
There is a large police response in the area, along a row of storefronts.
Video from Chopper 7 showed at least a dozen shots were fired.
Westbound traffic on 71st remained blocked about 4 p.m.
