MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, Ohio -- A Cleveland man, 40 at the time, was arrested Aug. 10 after he broke into Honda of Middleburg Heights, 7700 Pearl Road, and tried to steal a vehicle.

A cleaning crew arriving at the car dealership called police at about 2 a.m. after seeing the man, with a bag over his shoulder, inside the garage.

A rock had been thrown through a window in the rear of the building. Blood was on the broken glass.

The cleaning crew said the man then left the garage and walked toward Fowles Road.

Police spotted him and sat him in the back of their cruiser.

Inside the man’s bag, police found 12 or 13 vehicle key fobs that he had stolen from the dealership. There were also two box-cutting knives, a set of keys and a pipe.
