ONEIDA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- Oneida City School District has once again made a new plan for the upcoming 2025-2026 academic school year.

The Superintendent announced on Friday, August 15, that Oneida City High School students will share the Otto Shortell Middle School building with the middle school students.

They will operate on a split schedule, during which high school students will attend classes during the first half of the day, and middle school students will attend during the second half of the day.

"We understand that this is a significant adjustment, and we want to assure our community that more specific details about schedules, transportation, and programming will be shared in the coming days," Superintendent Matthew Carpenter said.
