LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - University of Nebraska President Dr. Jeffrey Gold announced on Friday that he has chosen not to accept the merit-based raised approved by the Board of Regents on Thursday .
Dr. Gold asked the funds instead be used to support programs across the university’s campuses. According to a university spokesperson, the funds will support programs at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, University of Nebraska at Omaha, University of Nebraska at Kearney, the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.
