Dakota Johnson is one of the drivers who have recently learned distracted driving is no longer tolerated by authorities when traveling along Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.

After four Pepperdine University students were killed after being struck by a speeding car on the same roadway in October 2023 following years of deadly crashes, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department implemented a “zero tolerance” policy toward distracted driving.

And because the “Fifty Shades” actress was allegedly seen speaking on her cellphone while behind the wheel, a deputy pulled her over and gave her a citation, law enforcement sources told NBC Los Angeles.
